Every PCS has its challenges, packing, tickets, visas, and goodbyes. The transition from Australia to Thailand was particularly difficult, primarily due to the worldwide COVID19 pandemic. I don't wish international travel during a pandemic on anyone.
Now that we have been in our new country for just over a month, I thought I’d start a new blog to chronicle our life here.
The journey over. Flying internationally during a pandemic is no joke. We received a 15 page list of instructions on how to be allowed to travel in to Thailand. Just one step of the process (the visa application), took 4 hours to complete.

Only 4 to a vehicle (including the driver), so Ian and Gavin are riding separately to the hotel. |
Honestly, I was (almost) looking forward to the quarantine to just have an excuse to slow down after a whirlwind of travel and visits in the US. As always, we didn't get everywhere and didn't get to see everyone, but we are grateful for every visit we were able to make. Pandemic permitting, we hope to make additional visits soon.

We did a bit of exploring in our new vehicle (golf cart) and this is a very pretty neighbourhood.
